Teen With MD Sets Great Example On and Off the Basketball Court
Austin Pinkerton may have muscular dystrophy but that hasn’t stopped him from enjoying his favorite sport, basketball. According to WHNT19 News, the senior at Hazel Green High School is the manager of the school’s varsity boys basketball team, the Trojans.
On a Saturday night in January, Austin decided he wanted more action than yelling from the sidelines, so he joined his team on the court. Although he was physically unable to shoot, he was more than able to pass to his teammates and he achieved his first career assist.
