Blockage on Public Sidewalk
The downtown area near where I live had a lot of small shops. These shops often have signs that they put on the sidewalk to get customers. A lot of the time, they are in the way of my wheelchair or wheelchair accessible van.
Have you been walking or rolling in your chair, and you encountered a scooter, bicycle, or other object in your way? What do you do when this happens?

I hate it when people leave a bike or junk blocking the sidewalk, it’s just literally “thoughtless”! The worst is a bike chained to a handrail that doesn’t give me enough room to get by. I’m not too shy to shout out for help when needed and most people are willing to help, but I still wish I didn’t have to be the focus. “That loud guy in the wheelchair!” I wish I could just go about and do my business like all the other “invisible” people. I guess our role is to be more visible, so other folks think before they block the way!
