Inflation Making SSI Governmental Income Unlivable
Did you know that SSI and the amount of disability income they provide has not been updated since the 1970’s?
With the recent, countrywide inflation upping the price of living, it is harder than ever to survive on such a minuscule allowance of money provided by the government. In my case, I’m only given a few hundred dollars for rent, necessities and food. In Southern California, it is unheard of for someone to be able to live off that amount of income.
Are you fed up with SSI’s system? What changes are you having to make to accommodate to the inflation?

I would love to see these policy makers and the people in charge try and live on what we have for just a few months. I’ve had to give up family and friend events, flying for graduation, buying certain groceries, things for my pets, gifts for family and friends. It’s amazing the places small amounts of money go to monthly. Also, with the rise of gas prices it has been hard justifying going out as much so trying to stay entertained and not feel like you’re missing out has been difficult.
