What is your opinion about getting the flu shot or vaccinating your child for the flu? As a caregiver do you get the flu shot? Do you require people to get the flu shot to be around you?

I learned that yes, the vaccine does contain a small dose of the inactive virus. This triggers antibodies, which within two weeks will protect you if you are exposed to seasonal Flu. Like all viruses, there are various strains of Influenza which change annually. For this reason, it is essential to ensure you are vaccinated every year.

I stopped getting the flu shot because I have been lazy, I also normally make an extra effort avoiding people who are sick and making sure I don’t touch my face too much around flu season. I should get back into the habit of getting the flu shot especially since I am a diagnosed with asthma since childhood but I haven’t had problems in years.
