There were many mind blowing inventions at the Los Angeles Abilities Expo. I saw all kinds of devices to help people’s lives with disabilities so much easier. Although my eyes didn’t know where to look with all the amazing equipment, my favorite part of the expo had nothing to do with them.

My favorite part was how respectfully everyone in wheelchair maneuvered around each other: no one cut the other person off. If a couple people happened to get into a traffic jam we all stopped and slowly maneuvered around each other to get to our desired destination. It brought back memories of my time at MDA camp.

Do you get cut off by able-bodied people when your out in public? How do you handle this situation? Does it make you flustered or give you anxiety?
