My father was diagnosed with oculopharyngeal muscular dystrophy.  He had several brothers and sisters who also had it.  We are a family of 6 children.  My oldest sister (17 years older than myself) has it.  I am the youngest sibling and had a genetic test performed last year when I noticed signs occurring over the past several years.  It was positive.  I have one other brother who may have the disease but does not want to get tested.
