I’m a 56 yr. old who’s symptoms began 12 years ago. My oldest brother and I have a form of LGMD still no subtype. NIH and now Broad Inst. have all my medical history and fingers closed maybe I will have a confirmed diagnosis soon. My middle brother has no muscle issues. I walk with a walking stick and cane for distance, around the home and flat surfaces I’m ok. My walking has worsen this year. I hope and seek for a cure for us not just a treatment. Wonderful progress is being made, for me, it can’t come soon enough. Here’s to a cure for us all and an end to MD.
