I was primary caregiver for my son with Duchennes Muscular Dystrophy for 45 years.  He passed away 2 and a half years ago.  He had a ventilator and feeding tube for 20 years.  He was the strongest person I have ever met.  My heart is broken but my family and I still continue the fight which was his last request, also that I would be ok. Trying to keep that promise.

My family and a few friends walked in his memory at a park with masks and shirts that he designed.  We raised over $12,000.  He was a writer, poet, and friend to many, keeping in touch with everyone on Facebook with his laptop and only able to use his big toe to work it.  He was bedridden for last 10 years of his life due to effects of spinal fusion surgery.  He never complained about everything and was always trying to help others with any disability. Hoping to give hope to others.
