  Is a therapist necessary for MD patients?

  Do you think a therapist should be considered a crucial part of your care team? 

  There is a higher likelihood of depressive episodes among those with chronic health conditions. Personally, I see a therapist about once a month, it has been very helpful over the years and I always feel better after seeing them. It took time to find a therapist that I liked, it can be discouraging at first but once you find someone you will not regret it.
