The Option to Work from Home for People With Disabilities
October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) and I though it would be a good idea to discuss the topic of disability and employment here on the Forums.
With the COVID-19 pandemic, many businesses made it possible for their employees to work remotely at home in order to avoid the spread of the virus. This simple accommodation, one that wasn’t available before Covid, made life easier for many people with disabilities. Now that most companies and businesses have reopened and resumed ‘mostly’ normal business practices, will the option to work remotely remain for those of us who need it or will it only be an emergency measure?
Are you currently working in-person or at home? Now that pre-Covid life has resumed, have your employers withdrawn the option to work from home?
