Avoiding heat stroke at the county fair
This Wednesday I will be going to my county’s annual fair. Going to fair requires strategic planning because of my heat intolerance. The best time to go is a night as the heat of the day wears off. I also have to carry a few items to ensure the I won’t die of heat stroke.
My packing list includes:
Gatorade- to keep my electrolyte levels up
Cooling scarf– to wrap around my neck if I get too hot
Bug spray- I’m allergic to mosquito bites
Fan mister– to cool me down and provide a breeze
Rescue inhaler- I’ve been sick the last week
Cough drops- to make sure I don’t hack up a lung
Hand Sanitizer- because germs
What are your holy grail items that you bring with you on a big outing? Do you have any tips to stay cool in the summer?
