  Cultural Barriers in Healthcare

  Some doctors only focus on muscular dystrophy that they miss other problems and basic preventive care like cancer screenings. Patients in wheelchairs may not be asked about sexually transmitted diseases because providers assume they are not having sex. Have you experienced any cultural barriers in healthcare? Do you think your doctor focuses on the MD more than other parts of your health?
