    Hi Danie.Thank-you for the welcome. My 17 year old son was recently diagnosed with FSH muscular dystrophy. He has lost his pectoral muscles resulting in an inverted chest and protruding shoulder blades. I would like to know if a brace is advisable and available to open his chest and improve his posture.
      • It is really up to what he feels comfortable using. Sometimes braces can be more uncomfortable for patients and cause more pain. Other people it improves the quality of their life. I suggest seeing a physical therapist first and try to work on something to strengthen or reduce the pain from his protruding shoulder blades and inverted chest.…
