Base

I am currently 62 years of age and have been diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy Limb Girdle 2L (through genetic blood testing).  I have had noticeable weakening of the legs and arms muscles for 20 years but it has progressed to the stage where I now need a cane and rollator to get around.  The condition has worsened over the past year and feel I may not be far off from needing to use a wheelchair. I am semi retired from a career as a television Producer/Editor and live in a 2 story bungalow with my wife.  Navigating my way around the house is becoming increasingly challenging.

I am looking for advice (physically, emotionally and mentally) to face this reality with dignity and confidence.
