    • Good morning and happy Thanksgiving,

I was looking through this forum to see if I could find info on how to recover better after work. I can only work 3 days per week because of my MD. So on my recovery days, can I use them better. I currently limit activity and rest.

        • Hi Mark, thanks for your question! Personally, I would try and get a physical therapist to come work with me on my days off. I would also dedicate the other 2 days to stretching, physical therapy exercises, and maybe some self-care routines. If the indoor pool ever opens up, I will try and get back to “walking” in the pool, and then the hot tub after to ease my muscles Rest and limiting activity is great for conserving energy and preparing for the days you do work. Still, I think it is essential to make sure you take care of your body in other ways.

      • Hi there Mark and welcome to the MD Forums. You asked a very good question. I think Dani gave some good advice to do some pool exercises to try and increase your muscle strength but also to rest and care for your body on your days off. For me personally, resting is best way I can take care of my body. You may find that drinking electrolytes helps your muscles recover faster as well.
          • Awesome, thank you all for your expertise. I’m going to find some electrolytes and wait for the pool to open.
