  How the tilt function on my power wheelchair helps my back

  Does your power wheelchair have a tilt function? Did your insurance cover this? What other functions did you have applied to your power wheelchair?

  I have had a tilt function on all my wheelchairs since I got my first power chair. I don’t have the muscle strength to hold myself up and maintain my posture. Because of this I slump my shoulders. Having the tilt function allows me to lean back when my wheelchair is stationary and rest my back muscles. It also takes the pressure off my tail bone.
