  Surprised By Accessibility Knowledge

  Have you ever been surprised by a person’s knowledge about disability, accessibility, or your type of MD? Did you feel comfortable asking them where did they learn about it and why?

  I have only met one or two people that were not disabled that were well educated about disability and muscular dystrophy. One was a doctor that I met when I was out at a bar, and the other was someone who had a family member with the same type of MD. I wish more people would look up disability and accessibility. I don’t expect someone to know about my FSHD, but I think it would be awesome if they did!
