Do you have any tattoos that symbolize your life with MD?
I had put a lot of thought into a tattoo for a while. I wanted something that would inspire me and lift me up when I was going through rough times. While searching for catchy phrases online I happened upon “Blessing in disguise”. It was exactly how I felt about my life with Muscular Dystrophy. It fit perfectly.
The summer that I turned 18 I decided that it was time to get inked. I drew that tattoo myself to make sure that I was completely satisfied with the design.
I had my artist turn it around to face me because I wanted to see it all the time. Since the forearm is one of the least painful spots of the body, I decided it would be the best position.
