When you have a small bedroom and use a wheelchair the key is maximize the real estate as much as possible. My bedroom is longer than it is wide. I used to have my bed along the wall closest to my door but this didn’t allow for much floor space left. With my bed now against the far left wall, one of shorter of the four walls, it creates much more space for my wheelchair.

My family has also had to rearrange our living/dining room to clear a way for the ramp that connects the kitchen to the living room.

Have you had to rearrange furniture in your house to make room for your wheelchair? Have you had to move your room to a downstairs bedroom because getting upstairs takes too much effort? Do you have permanent or mobile ramps in your house?
