  I feel like it equally important to teach your kids about leaders and people in the media with disabilities as it to educate children about able-bodied historians. There are hundreds of people in modern day society and in history that have disabilities and are or have changed the world. Here are a couple lists of famous people all living with Muscular Dystrophy:
