  Jury Duty

  I was summoned for jury service, and as interesting as it sounds, I physically cannot sit there for hours without being able to get around and move. Also, in the last courtroom I was in, where I lived, it looked like the seating was not accessible for powerchair users, and I would need to sit away from everyone. This annoyed me somewhat because it made me think that the court assumed people in wheelchairs would never sit on a jury. Have you been summoned for jury duty? What did you do? If you went, how was it? Did you need to ask your doctor for a medical statement to excuse you from jury duty?
