  Parenting Children with Different Abilities

  Do you have more than one child? Does one child have muscular dystrophy and the other does not? How did you first explain this diagnoses to your child without muscular dystrophy? Do you have any helpful talking points or information to share about parenting children with different abilities?

  I am an only child so I do not have much personal experience with siblings, although growing up I have seen many sibling interactions/relationships. I would assume that the sibling depending on age, would be protective of their brother or sister, or possibly jealous for the extra attention given to the brother or sister.
