Started feeling the effects of LGMD in 2002-2003 timeframe.  2019 was the year when I could no longer get up from a seated position or climb stairs.  Actually, today I found out I cannot go down steep hills (even with assistance).  Doctor told me not to get in a wheelchair – he said once people get in them, they never get out.
