Alan Chaulet has Duchenne and lives in Lexington, Massachusetts. Diagnosed in 1993, he’s now 34 years old and has served in many advocacy positions. He shares the beliefs that have helped him to build trust in his specialists.

The big thing is knowing they have the knowledge and experience.
I think the bedside manner is very important, but I think selling that we can trust them, that they do have lots of experience with DMD. They’ve seen lots of different patients over the course of their career, but also at many different stages of Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
