Students in Alberta, Canada are taking hip hop classes to raise money for muscular dystrophy. Hip Hop for MD is an event run by Kim Reinhart with the Pound It Hip Hop Studios.
According to a report on sylvanlakenews.com, students at several schools in the Sylvan Lake area were invited to participate hip hop dance classes to learn all about hip hop culture and learn some moves.
In addition to raising awareness and funds for Muscular Dystrophy Canada, the incentive also helps children get exercise while having a great time. The children attend the classes and then either get sponsored or donate to the non-profit organization through pledge forms.
The group also organizes Muscles in Motion, a charity fitness challenge and run held in Sylvan Lake on May 27.
