Day 19 of 30 Days of MD Topic: Rapper with MD This is @2jharmonix’s story: Muscular dystrophy has influenced my life negatively and positively in many ways. I grew up as an introvert with little to no social skills. I know, that doesn’t sound true after you know me now but yes I was extremely shy. My only friends were books and superheroes from my favorite TV series to keep my imagination company. When I reached Grade 2, what became a personal flaw became a visual attraction. My wheelchair became a magnet to questions, conversations and ultimately friendships- friendships that matched my personality and added to my life. I slowly found a passion in creativity and wanted to be an animator but MD took away my ability to draw. I entered a time of depression wondering what’s the reason for living and wrote about it. The poetry and rap verses that came during that darkness actually brought me into the light of becoming a rapper and a voice to the voiceless. When I think about it, MD never took from me. It only guided me onto the right path. #MDAwarenessMonth #MDAwareness #30DaysofMD
