  • Change in handwriting with disease progression

Has your handwriting changed as your disease has progressed? Do you find it more difficult to control your hand muscles while writing? Have you found ways to make writing easier like using a smaller, lighter weight pencil/pen or using pencil grips?

I used to pride myself on my penmanship but as my disease has progressed my writing has become much more hectic. When I was younger and becoming ill, my physical therapist advised me to try using short technical pencils or cutting pencils in half to make them lighter.

Somedays my handwriting is so cute and I get compliments about it. Other times it looks like a drunk raccoon was trying to write.
