Last Wednesday, July 10th 2019, an Espy award was given to a football coach for his perseverance. Although he never played the game, his mentality and passion is what drives his team.

Thirty six year old, Rob Mendez, was born without arms and legs due to a rare condition. He learned to play football virtually through video games. Now, as a coach for a junior varsity team, he uses his phone and a stylus to strategize game play.

His battle cry that is echoed by his team before every game is “Who says I can’t? Nobody!”

You can watch his acceptance speech here.

Do you have a job or passion that allows you to spread love and positivity? What obstacles have you had to overcome to build the life you have now?
