Advice: Caring for a Tattoo or Piercing
A couple years ago I started a tattoo piece on my back. If I had planned better I would have realized that the inability to lift my arms up and having a tattoo in a spot that I can’t reach would be troublesome. My advice is that if you live alone and do not have someone to help you care for your piercing or tattoo then I would hold off until you do. There is maintenance when it comes to tattooing and I never thought that having MD would make the after care harder. A trick I discovered for piercings that you need to clean with saline, is putting the saline in a spray bottle or bottle used for sauce, so that you can hold it in your hand and have more control of where it goes.
Have you gotten a tattoo or piercing and then had difficulty caring for it after? What are some tips or tricks for maintaining a tattoo or piercing when having limited mobility? Are there any products that you found work best for you for maintaining your tattoo or piercing? Have you found easier ways to reach tattoos or piercings that are in hard to reach spots, made even more difficult to reach with MD?
