Hi, I am Ross and have Spinal Muscular Atrophy.  I work full-time and travel the UK and World.  Like many of you having good restroom facilities is essential.  Here in the UK we have Changing Places Toilets – 1500+ of them with beds, hoyer lifts, adjustable sinks and lots of space.  The rest of the world is somewhat behind.

I co-founded Changing Places International to tackle this problem – and specifically focus on the USA.  I’d love to hear and collaborate with those who face restroom/toilet issues when away from home.

Thank you Ross for taking on this big task. We all know what a difficulty public toilets can be. Although I am ambulatory and can use the bathroom on my own, except for needing help with the door, I know from friends and people that I’ve spoken to that using a public restroom independently is nearly impossible due to lack of accessibility.
