Did you know that today, December 3rd is International Day of Disability?
How do you identify with your disease? Do you call yourself disabled, chronically ill, or something else? Do you identify with a particular term like perhaps “disabled” but like to be referred as something else such as “chronically ill” when interacting with a certain group of people? Do you believe the word “disabled” is an offensive term or not? Or do you dislike it when people “tip-toe” around the word “disabled” and instead say “differently abled” or “many abled?”
