  Declining Job Opportunities Because of Disability Income

  Did you know that October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month?

  Do you have SSI or SSDI? Have you ever had to turn down a job opportunity because you were afraid of losing your disability income?

  I have had personal experience with this. I was forced to choose between keeping a job or having my supplemental disability income decreased. It was a frustrating situation. I ultimately decided to keep me job and suffer the consequences but I know not everyone has a choice in this matter.
