Doctors and Patients
People, including doctors, have a hard time understanding my disease because of its rarity and the fact that it’s an “invisible illness.”
I am all too familiar with the feeling of being judged because I don’t look ill or disabled. I’ve been accused of faking my disease for attention more than once.
Have suffered through scrutiny because you don’t appear disabled enough? How do you handle these sort of situations?
