Employment and the ADA (hiding a disability)
Did you know that under the ADA an individual does not have to disclose a disability to an employer unless they have an immediate need for a “reasonable accommodation” under the ADA during the interview, application process, or while on the job. Examples of reasonable accommodations include making existing facilities accessible; job restructuring; part-time or modified work schedules; acquiring or modifying equipment; changing tests, training materials, or policies; and providing qualified readers or interpreters.
