EZ Lock System for Wheelchair Accessible Van
If you have a wheelchair accessible van, how do you lock your wheelchair in place so that it doesn’t move around when you drive? I had an EZ lock system, but the bolt underneath the wheelchair kept jamming in doorways and thresholds. I have some floor straps, but I cannot access them without another person there to help, so it is not an independent option for me.
How do you secure your wheelchair in your accessible van?

I use the EZ lock system in my van. I raised the mounting plate in the van so my pin sticks down less. It still hangs up on hoses and some high transitions, but it is better than it was before and I could not travel independently without it. Permobile makes a retractable pin for use on their chairs which would be nice, but it’s spendy and another thing to break down!
