Do you grow any of your own food in your garden? What are your favorite foods to grow? Do you take care of your own plants or does someone help you? Do you share your fruits and vegetables with your family, friends and neighbors?
My family has always grown some sort of food in our backyard. My dad loves to garden and each year plants a plethora of tomato plants in the summer. This hobby keeps him busy during retirement. My mom has recently developed an interest in growing her owns herbs such as basil and parsley. She enjoys the little effort it takes to care for these particular plants since she too has MD. We also grow our own avocados, lemons, berries, lettuce, green onions and peas.
