Inaccessibility in shopping stores
It’s not uncommon for me to crash into things when I’m in a store. Many shopping stores ignore Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) measurements and scatter their displays anywhere that suits the aesthetic.
I honestly don’t mind most of the time. Most of the managers and employees are happy to move displays or mannequins out of the way. It does get annoying sometimes if I want a certain item that is tucked in a corner surrounded by other obstacles. But my maneuvering skills have greatly improved because of the mazes that are shopping stores.
Does it ever upset you when a store is inaccessible? Have you ever asked an employee to help you? Have you ever approached a manager to make him/her aware of this problem?
