Is it talent? Is it pity? Understanding compliments
Do you worry that people tell you that you can do something well because they don’t want to hurt your feelings (specifically if you are affected by MD)? Are you skeptical when people critique your work? How do you know that you’re talented at something? Do you wonder if you would receive the same feedback if you were able bodied? Do you think people set up different standards for you due to your MD? What are some of the more memorable comments that you have received about something you didn’t think required complementing? Such as being called “brave” when you are grocery shopping.
