  Malfunctioning wheelchairs

  Have you ever been out and about having a lovely day when suddenly, your wheelchair breaks down?

  This has happened to me several times in the past. The first time I experienced this was at MDA camp as I was rolling up a steep hill. It took numerous counselors to push me back up the hill. The most recent incident was at the beach with boyfriend. He graciously pushed me back to my car which wasn’t far away.

  Thankfully there has always been people around to help push my heavy wheelchair.

  Where were you when your wheelchair broke down? Did people offer to help you? Was your medical equipment provider able to resolve the problem quickly? What happened to be the cause of the malfunction? Where you left without your wheelchair as it got serviced?
