  MDA: Are you involved?

  I am part of a large community on social media that discusses living with muscular dystrophy. Something that I have consistently noticed over the years is a negative response whenever the MDA is brought up in the group.

  I personally have been raising money for the MDA for a few years now. I have taken issue with their focus being mostly on children but not people who have aged out of going to camp or no longer fit the poster child image for the MDA. I brought my concerns to my local office and they have been implementing change. I have had both good and bad experience with the MDA and I would love to hear what everyone else thinks!

  How do you feel about the MDA? Have you ever volunteered for the MDA or used any of their services? If you do not like the MDA, what has discouraged you fro supporting them? If you do like the MDA, can you explain your reasons?
