  Meeting Someone with Muscular Dystrophy for the First Time

  Do you recall the first time you met someone with muscular dystrophy? Do you remember the first time you met someone with the same kind of MD that you have?

  I attended an all girls camp in Riner Virginia called Camp Carysbrook. My dad told me that two girls with FSHD who were older than me were also going to this camp. I was too shy to talk to them much the first summer, but the second and third summer I was more open to it. We never really talked about the FSH. Now a days I have met many people with FSHD and feel more comfortable discussing it.
