New Gadgets are Expensive and Unsafe
There is always a new mobility device on the market that the media takes and runs with. From stair climbing wheelchairs to body suits that “walk” for people. The problem for most people with mobility issues are stairs, the solution, ramps and elevators. Yet, able bodied people insist on creating device to go up and down stairs when the solution is already possibility and doesn’t put a financial or physical burden on the person with mobility issues already.
What devices have you seen for mobility that seem interesting but are out of your price range? Have you tried any of these experimental devices?
Do you find some of these device unnecessary? Do you think the solution is more ramps and elevators?
