Opening doors without assistance
Last week I had a very long doctor’s appointment with my pulmonologist. He ordered a bunch of breathing tests and an X-ray because of a persistent cough that I’ve had. Long story short, my mom’s scooter began to run out of battery and I had to get the X-ray done without her by my side. By that time I desperately needed to use the restroom. I went into one near the radiology center. Thankfully, a woman was just exiting the bathroom and opened the door for me. Now, I just had to figure out how to get out. The door was heavy but a family saw that I needed help and came to my rescue.
Have you ever been in a situation like this? We’re fortunate enough to have a stranger help you? Did you ask for one of the staff to wait outside the bathroom to help you?
