What is your perspective on your child’s education? Do you see it as a necessity, as something that your child must have in order to succeed? Or do you see it as second to your child’s health? As a way to keep them in a social environment?

From the age of seven to the end of 8th grade my time at school was modified. I was only able to partake in 2 1/2 hours of school each day due to the fatigue from my disease. Instead of homeschooling me, my parents kept me in school so that I could have time with friends and have as normal of an upbringing as possible. By the time high school came around, my health had deteriorated so much that the best choice was home school. I’m thankful that I had that time to be in public school though.
