Privacy: When you need help
I was able to walk for 27 years of my life, and I’m lucky enough to need minimal help with certain daily activity. I have my own space and privacy when I need it. Just turn the lock and I am in my own space. But, there are days when I can’t leave the bed and I need much more help. Although it is just for a few days I hate feeling so dependent on others because I feel like my privacy is invaded. How do you maintain your privacy? Have you ever had your privacy invaded by a caregiver or family member? How did you approach and correct the situation? Has anyone ever opened your mail, packages, or gone through private spaces in your room and become offended when you asked them not to?
