Rare Doesn’t Mean Alone
You’ll probably find out quickly that “rare” does not mean you are all alone. Just because you do not know anyone else with your illness does not mean there are not thousands of other people going through the same thing as you. While the internet makes it much easier to find and connect with rare illness communities, you may also be able to find support groups in your area as well.
How do you stay connected with those in the rare disease community? Are you part of any support groups in your community?
