  Similarities Between the LGBTQIA+ Community and the Disability Community

  Do you believe there are simulators between the disability community and the LGBTQIA+ community?

  I experience many parallels with my disability that my gay friend does. We’re both discriminated against by friends, family and the church. We have learned how we identify ourselves and how to be our most authentic selves. We are also proud of who we are and don’t believe we need fixing despite what others may tell us.
