Speech therapy is a treatment for problems with speaking, language, and swallowing.

When I was younger, about 2nd grade, I went to speech therapy. This was before my diagnosis of FSHD. I don’t remember why I was in speech therapy but I didn’t care for it too much. I remember having to hold candy or marbles in my mouth and practice saying words.

Have you had speech therapy? What was the reason? Did it help?
