When your child with Muscular Dystrophy has hit a rough patch with their health, it isn’t always easy to maintain a calm composure.

There have been more than a handful of times where I have been extremely ill or needed to be picked up by an ambulance because of heart. My mother, somehow, almost always managed to stay calm. She knew that I needed reassurance that everything would be alright. She knew that she was my advocate and that in order for me to get the proper care she needed to keep calm.

Have there ever been scary moments for you while caring for your child? How have you been able to handle this? Do have someone to talk to about these emotional times?
