  Trusting your intuition over doctor’s advice

  Have you ever gone against your doctors advice?

  Before getting my gallbladder removed, the surgeon instructed me to quit taking my Melatonin supplements to prepare for surgery. My mom and I reasoned with the doctor because I can’t sleep very well without Melatonin. Knowing that I’d need every ounce of energy to get through surgery, I decided to trust my intuition and take the Melatonin anyways.
